"The apartment was just ideal, lots of space, so well thought out and every corner there were new intriguing things to look at. Everything’s so considered down to the collection of glasses and crockery, it was made to host a fancy dinner in. Lovely linen in all the bedrooms - that’s always important to me! But certainly the location was perfect - easy enough to park, short walk into Broadstairs and small enough drives into Margate. Felt like there were so many beaches we could have explored if we'd had more time, as well as restaurants in Ramsgate itself. The spacious apartment is full of character, beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for our 5-day trip. Located in a lovely, leafy neighbourhood the apartment was great for exploring Porto, plenty of independent local shops and a good selection of restaurants and cafes on the doorstep but also within easy walking distance of the river and the centre of Porto. "The apartment was a fantastic location in a great city and we found the people of Porto to be very welcoming and friendly. Within easy walking distance of the centre and with two metro stations close by for trips further out to Matosinhos or the FC Porto Football stadium (which our kids loved). The decor and vintage furniture gave us lots of interesting things to appreciate when indoors. The living space and dining areas were spacious and comfortable, while each of the bedrooms all had their own unique character. The whole apartment stayed pleasant and cool despite the over 30C degree heat when we were there in July. "The Homeplace apartment in Porto Wendy has created is simply gorgeous. Beautifully decorated and so spacious, much bigger than I imagined! Situated on one of the prettiest streets in the Bonfim district - tile heaven - with loads of great independent, artisan shops, cool cafes and outdoor spaces to enjoy nearby - the location couldn't be better. I was able to stroll down to the river then into the centre of the city to take in all the sights but also spent time in the square nearby to the base, enjoying the hub of fab restaurants there. The light and the design are so beautifully constructed that it was hard to tear myself away from the apartment. But Porto has so much to offer, it's a breathtaking city with so many attractions to cram in. The nearby beaches and fish restaurants are well worth the effort too if you want to go further afield - cheap as chips on the Metro. Porto is a hidden gem of a city for colour, architecture, natural beauty, and relaxation. It's much cheaper to eat and drink there too. Perfect city break! "This was our fourth time visiting this gorgeous apartment. For a big family it makes for a perfect holiday location. The place looks and feels incredible, due to Wendy's attention to detail which even extends to room fragrance - so nice! It's immediately relaxing and being able to cross the road to the beach is such a bonus. The decoration is beautiful and every time we visit there is a quirky new detail. The kitchen and living room area are so warm and welcoming and make it a great base to stay in and get cozy if you feel like cooking, there are some brilliant recipe books to experiment with. Even with four kids and two adults the place feels spacious and there's a cool snug to watch movies which my children loved. I’ve been itching to go for years and the last minute opportunity arose and it did not disappoint! Not only is the apartment full of gorgeous things and is so comfortable, its also in a perfect location. The gorgeous beach is over the road and there are plenty of lovely walks and restaurants, shops and places to catch a view and breathe in some sea air! "Absolutely loved our stay at Wendy & James's in Ramsgate. A stones throw away from a lovely, sandy beach meant we could go for a brisk morning dip before we explored Ramsgate and the surrounding areas. The house itself is decorated beautifully and you can see the love and attention to detail that’s gone into everything - the flat was ample big enough for a group of six of us to enjoy and dine in when we wanted. The beds were super comfortable. Ramsgate itself was lovely and we took Wendy's advice and tried out some of the local restaurants, which we loved. We will definitely be returning! "We visited Wendy’s Ramsgate apartment for a girls weekend and were blown away. Instead of a sterile, Ikea filled Airbnb, we felt like we were staying at a boutique hotel. Everything from the super soft bed linen to the gorgeous glassware made all of us decide we want to visit again soon.
