We love the tactile texture and quirky individuality vintage needleworks and tapestries bring to an interior so we're pleased to have tracked down a couple more of these popular pieces.
Based on L. S Lowry's famous painting 'Coming from the Mill' depicting workers heading home after a shift in Salford, Greater Manchester, painted in and around 1930.
L. S Lowry's work largely dealt with the industrial districts in the northwest of England from the mid-1900s. He developed a painting style of cityscapes with people, often described as "matchstick men" as can be seen in the needlework.
The detail is wonderful and colour palette pleasing. This piece is glazed, in excellent vintage condition and comes ready to hang.
Dimensions: W: 54cm x H: 41.5cms
